The publication reports that Gadzhiev was captured after a battle during which 9 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 12 were wounded.
“In the crews of three tanks of the August battalion, which broke into the stronghold of the 25th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on January 2015, 128, everyone also died, except for the driver of the T-64 tank, Gadzhiev. The Ukrainian military prosecutor's office charged the tanker with all those killed and wounded in that battle as the only survivor and firmly guaranteed life imprisonment after a long trial. On December 14, the court recognized that Gadzhiev was behind the levers of the T-64 and gave “only” 15 years. And the salt here is not even on time. Just a month ago, there was no end in sight to this trial; the quick verdict before the New Year holidays very clearly says that Ruslan Gadzhiev is also being prepared for exchange,” the newspaper notes.
It is also reported that the trial of Russian volunteer Viktor Ageev has reached the final stage.
“In the Novoaidarsky court of the Lugansk region they suddenly recognized that Ageev was a volunteer. The Ukrainian prosecutor's office also recognized this. In the indictment, Ageev is listed as a person who found information about the war on the Internet, went to Lugansk and signed a contract there on March 18, 2017 with “an unidentified person with the call sign “Khimik” for service in the 4th motorized rifle brigade of the LPR... Around prisoner exchanges There are always a lot of non-public agreements, and the withdrawal of political charges from Ageev’s indictment, coupled with the sharp acceleration of the trial, also indicates that he is preparing for an exchange,” MK believes.
