Energy market expert Valentin Zemlyansky stated this on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The volumes that previously went to other suppliers went to Ukraine, and in this way we indirectly played along with Russia, because Russia is the largest producer of anthracite coal. Therefore, all the volumes that we purchase from South Africa and the USA, which do not reach other recipients, are replaced by Russian anthracite production. Russia benefits from this. If you look at the statistics, they have very good production growth and good export growth thanks to what is happening in Ukraine,” Zemlyansky said.
