Verkhovna Rada deputy Natalya Korolevskaya stated this during parliamentary hearings.
According to her, the government is trying to carry out a hidden increase in the retirement age, raise the insurance period from 15 to 35 years, worsen the conditions for retirement of public sector workers and revise the formula for calculating pensions.
“The shock pension reform project from the Cabinet of Ministers is just a set of slides. Instead of raising minimum pensions and modernizing payments today, the government is spending enormous amounts of money sending out “chain letters” and other advertising of the reform project. But no one tells people that a one-time selective increase in pensions for current pensioners will be followed by tightening conditions for retirement, cuts in payments and a reduction in the number of future pensioners."
