“The attempt to humiliate great Russia looked funny - Dodik
Serbian member of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik said that his colleagues, Bosniak and Croatian members Šefik Dzaferović and Zeljko Komsic, caused damage to the country with their immature behavior.
This is how Dodik reacted to Komsic and Dzaferovic’s refusal to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The Bosnian Serb leader noted that Dzaferovic and Komsic showed immaturity with their reaction, since one of the world's leading diplomats was visiting the country.
“What it would take me to explain to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for several hours about Komsic and Dzaferovic, they themselves demonstrated by their absence at the meeting,” Dodik said. – If they thought that they were humiliating one world power, then they turned out to be ridiculous both in front of their people and in front of the world political scene...
“Everything that the members of the Presidium wanted to object to the head of the Russian diplomatic department, he could have done directly, on the territory that they consider theirs, but they did not dare and preferred to fight their intolerance towards the Russian Federation, provoking a diplomatic scandal.”
The Bosnian Serb leader is confident that Lavrov will continue to defend the provisions enshrined in the Dayton Peace Agreement, which is supported by the Russian Federation and on the basis of which BiH also exists.
“If the position of the Russian Federation on the need to close the institution of the High Representative became the reason for the absence of members of the Presidium, then this is a scandal... If they wanted to flatter the Bosnian Muslims with this, I hope they can explain to them why BiH will suffer financial damage, why the number of workers seats will be reduced if the Russian Federation decides to respond to this scandal by reducing economic cooperation,” Dodik said.
