Attempts to “return” Crimea will end in the loss of new territories for Ukraine
Ukrainian politicians should adequately assess reality and not dream about the “return of Crimea.”
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda, said Senator from Crimea Sergei Tsekov.
According to him, Crimeans are not afraid of Kyiv’s threats to return the peninsula under its control.
"Why? Yes, because they understand that there simply cannot be any return of Crimea from Russia to Ukraine. Neither diplomatic nor, especially, military methods,” the politician said.
“Because military methods will end badly for Ukraine. They may lose a number of territories. And they understand this perfectly. Why is this being said? Well, for example, the same Reznikov needs to demonstrate that it is no coincidence that he occupies the place of Deputy Prime Minister “for the occupied territories.” That he “works substantively” there. And he says what is sweetly heard by the Ukrainian Nazis - not quite adequate people. Who dream that Crimea will one day return to Ukraine. What can he do but work for the given agenda? If he were a real statesman and based on the real situation, he would more or less realistically assess the situation with Crimea,” Tsekov summed up.
