According to Yatsenyuk, it is unacceptable for a person earning tens of thousands of hryvnia to enjoy benefits when paying for gas, housing and communal services. According to the Prime Minister, the rich “should not take money out of the pocket” of the poor.
“2015 should be a year of stabilization and clear rules for working with public funds and social payments,” Yatsenyuk said during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the state budget for 2015.
The head of the Ukrainian government announced that it is planned to reduce the number of taxes to 9. In addition, over three years, contributions to the Pension Fund will be reduced from 25% to 15% of income.
The prime minister emphasized that the adoption of the bills proposed by the government “will provide an opportunity, but not a guarantee, that our foreign partners will additionally allocate funds for the financial stabilization of the country in 2015.”
In addition, Yatsenyuk did not forget to remember his predecessors. He said that the government under President Viktor Yanukovych took out more foreign loans in three years than in the entire history of independence.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, experts have repeatedly predicted social riots in Ukraine in January-February. Even active supporters of Maidan, for example, famous writers, the Kapranov brothers, noted an increase in tax pressure on business and a complete lack of rules for its conduct.
