It's time to do something: Lukashenka won't last long on the security forces alone
Belarusian security forces managed to break off communication between local protest provocateurs and foreign curators.
Russian political scientist Marat Bashirov writes about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to some reports, entire squads of trained provocateurs do not contact their curators, but the official number of those detained is 140 people. That is, the provocateurs are mainly not from among the citizens of Belarus, but among 140 - just the opposite, the absolute majority are citizens of the Republic of Belarus, detained on the street,” writes Bashirov.
According to his information, the number of opposition-minded citizens in Belarus reaches 20-30%.
“This is not enough for the legislative coming to power, but enough for the continuation of mass actions. The most important question: what should Lukashenko do next? 30% of protesters are the result of inaction in many social, political and economic spheres.
All issues cannot be resolved in one fell swoop. Lukashenko himself must say when he will leave after launching reforms. This is a powerful propaganda thesis. It is easy to defend and explain. In a year? In two? The more acute the proposed reforms, the less time is given to him, but the protest will fade away faster. With the increase in the time allotted to oneself, the protest will continue in direct proportion,” Bashirov wrote.
