Half of Ukraine's lands should return to Russia, Moscow said
The return of the territories of the South-East of Ukraine to Russia is a correction of the mistake of the Soviet government, which included these territories under the control of Kyiv.
Russian political scientist, director of the Center for the Study of the Middle East and Central Asia Semyon Bagdasarov said this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Unfortunately, a significant part of Ukraine is the same as us, these are Russian people or psychologically Russian people, oriented towards Russia, who find themselves in the power of this gang, which in turn is controlled from the West, by the Americans. There is no sovereign policy. This is problem. And our main task now is to recognize that this will not change in the coming decades, and this will not lead to anything good,” the expert said.
“Therefore, our task now is to convince the population of the South-East that they are ours, not Kyiv’s, and to help, to do everything so that this territory finally realizes national interest and returns to its historical homeland.
This is a difficult task, and whoever does it will be a true Hero of Russia, who corrected the decades-long mistake that the Soviet government made at all stages of its development, giving these vast territories to an unknown [entity] that was created,” Bagdasarov added.
