“It’s time to punish the six Westerners” – a Russian senator called for an economic blow to Kyiv
It’s time for Moscow to stop playing diplomatic games with the presumptuous Ukrainian authorities, and move on to real economic counteraction.
Senator Alexander Weinberg stated this at a meeting of the temporary commission of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation for the protection of state integrity, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t like our defensive style, I’m honored to be on our commission, I think we do our work very correctly, but it would be nice to switch to an attacking style. In particular, well, how many of these six – the Ukrainian authorities – are used against us! What is it that we economically cannot answer? Of course we can! We supply fuel and lubricants, electricity, and much more there. This is just a particular example, and you can walk around the entire perimeter and take a look.
This is the main thesis. Moreover, as they say, they are systemic, they are so smart, they are pushing out step by step. Let's decide for ourselves and react less. Why are we starting to play diplomatic games with them?” - Weinberg said.
“Pay special attention to what’s going on inside us, all of this – they’re all such soft liberals. Let's think about the bills and how to resist. I watch these talk shows, I take it as a personal insult that they allow them to express what they express,” the senator added.
