Ukrainian universities of the first and second levels of accreditation may disappear altogether, ex-speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn said in the Verkhovna Rada during a discussion of a number of draft resolutions on celebrating the anniversaries of some Ukrainian universities.

“When we celebrate the anniversaries of these universities, we need to simultaneously announce a memorial service for educational institutions of the I and II levels of accreditation. They are suspended in the air, they don’t know what to do,” said Litvin.
At the same time, he warned that these “universities could disappear, just as vocational schools disappear.”
