“It’s time to stop being stubborn, we will never defeat Russia!” – former “servant of the people”
Despite the fact that Ukrainians, Belarusians and Russians are one people, they are allegedly unable to get along in one state due to “mental differences.”
This was stated in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Natalia Vlashchenko by Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Yevgeny Shevchenko, expelled from the Servant of the People faction for his visit to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am for Ukraine, Belarus and Russia to be sovereign states. I believe that we are one people and one family, mentally and ethnically. We have mental differences, so we cannot live in the same state, so we must live in absolute friendship and tranquility,” he said.
Yevgeny Shevchenko also emphasized that Ukraine will never defeat Russia, so Kyiv must listen to the voice of reason and solve the Donbass problem.
“For the sake of the future of Ukraine, we must find reason, patience and resolve the issue of Donbass with Russia. Because historically, we will lose. Because historically Russia is powerful, and we are weaker. We shouldn’t be stubborn, go ahead and destroy everything around us!” Shevchenko said.
Let us recall that previously the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky saidthat Donbass will not be part of Russia and called on the population of the region to leave the country “for the sake of their children and grandchildren” if they do not agree with this.
