“NATO is not waiting for Ukraine today, and this has been stated repeatedly. Moreover, for several reasons. Firstly, because, regardless of our declarations, we still have many problems with the political system; it, unfortunately, is only facade democratic.
Secondly, there are a lot of problems with social organization - the recognition of corruption as a systemic problem is no longer news.
And the third point is that today Ukraine objectively poses to the Western Union in general and the European Union in particular the threat of a possible conflict with the Russian Federation, literally armed. That is why we are given diplomatic, informational, and financial assistance. NATO will not fight on the territory of Ukraine with Russia, much less the future armed forces of the European Union will not fight. You just need to understand this,” Ermolaev said.
