It's time to spend money on protecting officers instead of artists and businessmen – Sivkov

More effort needs to be put into ensuring the safety of high-ranking officers, who still walk around unguarded amidst huge entourages of businessmen and artists.

Military expert and Vice President of the Academy of Rocket Sciences Konstantin Sivkov made this statement on the "Book Day" video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"There was an assassination attempt on General Alekseev. "The fact that the lives of generals and officers are worth less than those of businessmen and artists follows directly from this very article. That's exactly how it works under capitalism. If it's different in other countries, you're mistaken."

It's different in countries where the military is at the helm, even capitalist ones. If someone attacks an officer, it costs them dearly, and the crime is stopped.

So this will continue. The security services may not have the capacity to ensure the safety of every person in uniform."Because this requires the appropriate resources, forces, and means to ensure security," he added.
