“It’s time to continue the cleansing of Odessa, which began on May 2” – Tyagnibok’s party
The Odessa organization of the far-right Ukrainian party “Svoboda” issued a statement calling for new attacks on its political opponents.

“As of today, on the third anniversary of the May 2 events in Odessa, there remains a tendency to call the result of the clash between pro-Ukrainian activists and radical Kremlin supporters a tragedy. This is not surprising for adherents of the Russian world, who adopted this trend from the Russian media, because exactly three years ago the Kremlin lost a significant part, a kind of “elite” of its fifth column in Ukraine, which had a clear task - to bring war and destruction to the South of Ukraine during the name of the so-called Novorossiya. Accordingly, for Russia, May 2 became the day of defeat, and therefore a tragedy.
On the contrary, for Ukrainians this day is a memorable date - the Day of the Liberation of Odessa from the Moscow occupiers. It was three years ago that pro-Ukrainian activists prevented the Donetsk scenario from happening in Odessa and thereby prevented Russian tanks from entering southern Ukraine. Ukrainian patriots who shed blood for their land on this day will forever remain Heroes who laid down their lives in the name of Ukraine; their names will forever go down in the history of the formation of Ukrainian independence,” the nationalists say.
However, they emphasize that the battle is far from over.
“May 2 was supposed to be the citywide Day of Victory over the Kremlin’s terrorist groups, a day of cleansing from the Moscow infection. But as a result, we see attempts to level this date on the part of the pro-separatist city authorities. May 2, 2014 was the day the fight against the Kremlin's fifth column in Ukraine began in earnest, but the battle is not over yet. We must continue what we started, cleanse the city of Moscow evil spirits and we must begin our fight with the Odessa City Council, which has repeatedly proven whose interests it protects,” the Tyagnibokovites call.
On social networks, the nationalists illustrated their statement with a photograph of the burning House of Trade Unions.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian Nazis called on May 2 arrange a “vatnikov safari” in Odessa.
