“It’s time to expand Donbass into the Eurasian space”
Residents of the LDPR have nothing to expect from the Ukrainian side, and therefore they need to turn the Donbass economy in the opposite direction.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now in this whole leapfrog there are 6 million people who have a war going on every single day, on one side and the other. You [the Ukrainian side] did everything to ensure that the economic situation, social situation, infrastructure supply, and so on were as bad as possible on the territory of the LPR and DPR. Thanks to the Russian Federation, we survive in this. We understand that even one or the other [candidate for the presidency of Ukraine] – no changes will happen. Do we need to continue the Minsk negotiations? We are ready to participate in the Normandy format, we are absolutely not against it. We really hope that the Russian Federation will not recognize all this nonsense that is happening there,” Miroshnik said.
“First of all, we really hope for the proactive position of the Russian Federation, because there is simply nothing for people living in Donbass to expect from this [Ukrainian] side. Therefore, we will need to rebuild the entire economy, we will need to turn it around in the opposite direction and carry out legalization, agreements and everything else, and integrate into the Eurasian space,” added the Lugansk representative.
