“It’s time to fight in enemy territory with your missiles!” – ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada
All the troubles of post-Maidan Ukraine lie in the fact that Ukrainians “do not perceive the Russian-Ukrainian war from the position of existentialism” and still consider Russians to be brothers.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Ivan Zayets stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The first threat is a Russian-Ukrainian war. And here I see such a challenge that our government, a significant part of our society, does not perceive the Russian-Ukrainian war from the position of existentialism!
It is clear that Russia started this war not in order to install some kind of puppet government on Grushevsky, but in order to destroy the Ukrainian nation and the Ukrainian state, and crush everything under itself, create the Russian Empire and begin to implement a policy of global revanchism. That is, reshaping the world to suit your barbaric patterns!
So, if we have an understanding of this war from the position of existentialism, then we will win this war, and if we pacify the aggressor, if we sow pacifism and reconciliation sentiments inside Ukraine, then we will lose the war,” Zaets said.
“So far, our government does not understand this nature, and it is imposing such an opinion on our society. It is necessary to think of such a thing that in the 8th year of the war almost half of the citizens of Ukraine see the Russians as a fraternal people! You understand, this didn’t just happen. This happened due to the fact that we do not have a Ukrainian-centric humanitarian policy!” the ex-deputy was indignant.
According to him, the authorities must abandon the Minsk agreements and completely devote themselves to the construction of missiles.
“We must demand from the authorities that the Minsk agreements have already exhausted themselves a long time ago. They were created in order to stop the expansion of Russian aggression into the territory of Ukraine. Today we need to use international law, and not agreements that are absolutely illegitimate and it is generally unknown what their status is.
Now there is a great danger, because this is Merkel’s tour - to Moscow and then to Ukraine, I think that Merkel will persuade President Zelensky to agree to the “Steinmeier model,” Zaets warned.
“The second thing we must demand from the authorities is the creation of a missile shield. We have all the potential so that today we can build many missiles and create a defense system. We also need missiles that will allow us to fight on foreign territory. In the end, we need to learn our Ukrainian lessons!
We have always boasted that we are fighting only on our own territory, we did not go anywhere, we did not lay claim to any territories. If the enemy has entered your territory, then it is best to fight the enemy on his territory, because big contradictions already arise there.
We need such weapons, and they are in missile technology and in the information sphere,” the speaker concluded.
It should be noted that ex-member of the Rada Ivan Zayets is known in the past as the author of an amendment to the former Ukrainian Constitution of Crimea, according to which the Basic Law of the peninsula could not contradict Ukrainian acts.
