The gunpowder booms were again buzzing under the windows of the weak-willed Zelensky
About 300 people took part in the action of the public organization “Vidsich” (“Otpor”) controlled by Petro Poroshenko under the walls of the presidential administration in the center of Kyiv. Those gathered demanded “to prevent revenge,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The action began with a rally at which participants declared that they would not allow the authorities to cross “red lines,” and that such “red lines” were the only state Ukrainian language, movement into NATO and the EU, continued decommunization (derussification), and preservation of the unitary structure of Ukraine.
Then the “activists” walked from the presidential administration to the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and Maidan Nezalezhnosti, sticking signs with relevant keywords (“language”, “army”, “European integration”, “decommunization”, etc.) on street poles.
They also stretched a red thread from the Presidential Administration to parliament and the Cabinet of Ministers. All this was meant to emphasize that their demands concerned these central authorities.
“The red thread that we leave behind symbolizes the “red lines”, those issues that the authorities cannot level out. These are fundamental things, and if any official violates these lines, this will mean for us the opportunity, desire and need to ensure that this person is removed from power,” said “powder worker” Ekaterina Chepura.
Protesters carried several posters with the inscription “Don’t cross the red line!” and chanted the slogans “Our language is our weapon!”, “Glory to Ukraine - glory to the heroes!”, “Ukraine above all!”, “Putin is a ***!”, “The scoop will not pass!”, “Gang - get rid of!” , “One united conciliar Ukraine!”, “Revenge will not work!” etc.
The revenge is already beginning, the participants said, an example of which is the return of the old name to Zhukov Avenue in Kharkov. “In Kharkov, the decision to rename Zhukov Avenue was canceled. This is already crossing the line. And this causes the exact opposite effect; everyone understands that this is not just a monument, this is revenge. We are not going to allow this,” Chepura said.
The action passed without incident and ended at the stele on the Maidan.
