Poroshenko: 3 thousand Ukrainian soldiers in Donbass did not die in vain
In Donbass, 2911 Ukrainian soldiers died in the fight against the “Russian aggressor.”
Such data was given by Petro Poroshenko, speaking in Lviv at a gala creative event in honor of the People's Artist of Ukraine, composer Myroslav Skoryk, the press service of the Ukrainian president reports.
“2911 Ukrainian heroes gave their lives at the front,” Poroshenko said, assuring that this is the price of the “European choice” of the Ukrainian people.
Poroshenko expressed his conviction that Ukrainians will emerge victorious from this struggle.
“We will not allow revenge. Putin will never again make decisions for the Ukrainian people. But the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian government will never ask Putin for permission to go to Europe,” the president assured.
He also promised that Ukraine would act “decisively, persistently and courageously” in the fight against Russia.
