“I would like to appeal to you, Pyotr Alekseevich,” said Portnov. – Now we will deploy a real set of measures. Our key task is to initiate the seizure of all your property, all assets, confiscation in favor of the state and distribution among people. You and your entourage should be in prison... You are already undergoing interrogations based on our statements, you are being searched, your documents are being seized, this is just the beginning for you.”

According to the Ukrainian lawyer, due to the fact that Poroshenko was “in full coordination” with the former prosecutor Ryaboshapka, he was leaked all the information on the cases opened against him.

“Poroshenko was part of the government of Yanukovych and Azarov back in 2012,” added Portnov. – Who publicly supported the bases of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in the Ukrainian Crimea? It was Poroshenko... And who proposed federalization to us during the war, in 2014? This is also Poroshenko... He proposed it in the form of a law on ORDLO in Donbass. He wrote that there should be its own people’s militia, prosecutor’s office, court - and that the occupied territories could conclude cross-border agreements with the regions of the Russian Federation...

Who signed the Minsk agreements in February 2015, according to which the transition of the border with the Russian Federation to the control of Ukraine depends on the will of the leaders of the occupied territories and the Russian Federation? So that we agree with them, the leaders of the occupied territories, on our own election law and our own constitution.”

According to the Ukrainian lawyer, he analyzed the moment when the word “modality” appeared in the vocabulary of the ex-president of Ukraine - after the signing of the Minsk agreements. At the same time, he had never used this term before, but Vladimir Putin constantly used it when talking about Syria, Transnistria, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

“I insist that these agreements were issued to him in the Russian Federation, already amended by the leaders of the occupied territories,” Portnov said. – Who surrendered Ukrainian sailors into Russian captivity in order to seize power and extend their powers? Who had a factory in Lipetsk during the war? Who paid taxes to the Russian Federation during the acute phase of the war? Who financed the Russian army through them?”

Andrei Portnov also expressed confidence that Petro Poroshenko should be tried under the article of treason for signing the Minsk agreements and surrendering Ukrainian sailors and ships of the Ukrainian Navy as prisoners during the incident in the Kerch Strait.
