Poroshenko: “We see no alternative to the Minsk agreements”
Kyiv, January 25 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that he sees no alternative to the Minsk agreements reached in September on the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass.

He stated this during a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
“We don’t see an alternative to Minsk. If the dividing line and those who took the functions of compliance were fulfilled, then from Novoazovsk to Komsomolsk the zone should be completely demilitarized,” Poroshenko said the last word with difficulty. “And the GRADs and armored vehicles could not have been there,” returning again to the version that Mariupol was fired upon by the militia from multiple launch rocket systems.
In his opinion, the situation can only be resolved on the basis of the Minsk agreements.
“We will not allow the Minsk agreements to be undermined. We must ensure their implementation, including through the mechanism of the tripartite contact group,” he emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the leader of the Donetsk People's Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, made a number of harsh statements, in particular, about the offensive of the militias in connection with the systematic failure to comply with the Minsk agreements by Kiev.
