Poroshenko announced a defense agreement with Saudi Arabia
Ukraine and Saudi Arabia have completed discussions and are ready to sign an interstate agreement on cooperation in the field of defense.

Petro Poroshenko stated this to journalists following the results of the first part of his visit to the Persian Gulf countries, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the Ukrainian president.
“We have completed the discussion and are ready to sign an agreement between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia on defense cooperation,” he said.
Poroshenko also said that two large contracts in the field of military-technical cooperation are currently being implemented.
“Ukraine and Saudi Arabia are quite satisfied with the implementation of the contract. We are demonstrating great progress in the aircraft manufacturing industry,” Poroshenko noted.
He said that the Ukrainian AN-132D aircraft is already in Saudi Arabia and issues of its serial production are now being worked out.
Poroshenko also noted that issues of expanding the line of Antonov family aircraft are also being discussed to meet the needs of both this Arab country and, in the future, for other countries in the region.
