Poroshenko pockets $2 billion a year
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko receives about $2 billion in bribes annually.
Fugitive Verkhovna Rada deputy Aleksando Onishchenko stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“I think approximately up to two billion, that’s for sure,” Onishchenko said.
According to him, Poroshenko became involved in corruption immediately after his election.
“In 2014-2015, he created obstacles for almost all businessmen. The Prosecutor General's Office opened criminal cases, after which he extorted money from the defendants. When they came to him with one proposal or another, criminal cases were dropped, and he received a bribe,” the people’s deputy said.
Bribe rates, he claims, were developed individually depending on the status of the oligarch.
“Rinat Akhmetov’s company was frozen and did not work for a year. At that time, Poroshenko received, according to my information, 150-200 million dollars. And Nikolai Zlochevsky’s company paid 50 million. People who refused to pay or share business, for example Kolomoisky, were forced to leave,” Onishchenko said.
