Poroshenko is afraid of not being re-elected and wants to disperse parliament
Petro Poroshenko is afraid to announce early presidential elections, as his devoted adviser Igor Gryniv advises him. The Ukrainian president fears that all his associates will turn against him as soon as he announces his resignation.
“Early presidential elections are possible only in the event of the voluntary resignation of the president. From that moment on, his royal carriage turns into a pumpkin. And about. The head of state becomes the speaker - not the most loyal character to Poroshenko. And the former guarantor himself turns out to be simply a presidential candidate, one of many. And now, as if loyal to Petro Alekseevich, Kernes, Trukhanov and others like them may lose proper responsiveness towards citizen Poroshenko,” writes Zerkalo Nedeli.
According to the publication, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko also began working not for the president, but for his own resource of influence.
“According to our information, Petro Alekseevich not long ago demanded that Vitali Klitschko publicly declare his reluctance to participate in the presidential race and his readiness to support Poroshenko. But I haven’t achieved my goal yet. Despite the fact that we are talking about a formal ally of the guarantor, usually sensitive to the requests of the leader. Moreover: people close to the mayor claim that Klitschko does not really plan to run for president, despite the pressure from part of his entourage,” writes Zerkalo Nedeli.
The publication assures that Poroshenko is more inclined to disperse parliament and early elections to the Verkhovna Rada. By law, he must do this before December 6.
