Poroshenko can no longer hide his impotence
The scandal with Mikheil Saakashvili’s breakthrough across the Ukrainian border exposed the problem of the impotence of Petro Poroshenko’s regime - now not only internal Ukrainian opponents, but also Western “partners” will put even more pressure on him.

“The scandal around Saakashvili is already affecting political life and political alignments in Ukraine. And the point here is not at all about ratings - in Ukraine, where everything is decided by force, politicians have long been squeamish about ratings (and the events on the border once again confirmed this).
The fact is that Saakashvili’s breakthrough clearly demonstrated to everyone the weakness of Poroshenko’s government, its insolvency, toothlessness, and impotence. And, of course, all the main players in the political arena of Ukraine and, what is especially important for Kyiv, the Western allies will take this into account.
And this means that pressure on Poroshenko will increase from all sides,” predicts Kornilov.
