Poroshenko will save himself from impeachment by introducing martial law
Yesterday's decision of the Kyiv Regional Council on the need to clarify the presidential impeachment procedure poses a much lesser danger for Petro Poroshenko than information that appeared in the media today that Yulia Tymoshenko's party is preparing to raise the issue of the resignation of the head of state in the Verkhovna Rada.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko told PolitNavigator about this.

“A law on the impeachment procedure has been introduced into the Rada, and it seems that they are going to consider it in the near future. If the Rada gathers votes for this law, then we can assume that difficult days have begun for Pyotr Alekseevich,” Ishchenko said.
Former Speaker of the LPR Parliament Aleksey Karyakin believes that the issue of Poroshenko’s resignation is being raised in Ukraine quite as expected.
“Today we see only degradation of the institution of power in Ukraine, or rather, death. At the helm of the country are people diagnosed as alcoholics, mentally ill, etc. Of course, in this madhouse there can be no talk of developing the country,” he said.
According to Karyakin, Poroshenko will resist attempts to remove him from office by introducing martial law.
“That is why they have now raised the issue of ending the ATO and introducing martial law. They are ready to sacrifice the financial flows of the IMF, especially since they have dried up. The authorities understand that the last warm days have come for them, and now their goal is to squeeze out those juices that still remain from the once rich republic. I am glad that the people of Ukraine have begun to see the light and realize the essence of what is happening. But it’s a pity that it’s so late,” Karjakin said.
As PolitNavigator reported, deputies of the Kyiv Regional Council appealed to the Verkhovna Rada with an appeal to regulate the procedure for removing the President of Ukraine through impeachment.
In addition, previously the Kiev Regional Council and a number of other regional councils voted for the appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers with a demand to conclude an agreement on the division of powers with the central authorities.
