Poroshenko defiantly answers Putin: No federalization, Donbass is Ukraine
Kyiv, September 10 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Ukraine, during negotiations with Russia, does not agree to any concessions on the issues of the Ukrainian status of Crimea and Donbass, as well as the transition to a federal structure of the state.
President Petro Poroshenko announced this at a government meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.

“The country has not made any concessions on the issue of its territorial integrity, on the issue of its state structure. I emphasize once again: now there is a war for the independence of Ukraine, no more - no less, for the existence of our state, and we will not hand over to anyone the issue of the sovereign structure of our state, nor the issue of independence, nor the issue of territorial integrity. We remain a conciliar and unitary state. And in order for everyone to have the opportunity to verify this, I insisted, despite the supposed absence of such agreements, that all documents that were signed be immediately made public, and that everyone had the opportunity to verify this.
The protocol provides for the restoration and preservation of Ukrainian sovereignty throughout the entire territory of Donbass, including that which is now temporarily controlled by militants. This part will also return to the legal field of Ukraine.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the protocol does not and cannot talk about any federalization or alienation.
I emphasize once again that such entities as the so-called LNV and DPR are not mentioned at all in the document. It was agreed that the Law of Ukraine “On the temporary order of local self-government in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions” clearly provides for the status of these regions within Ukraine,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, however, next week the Verkhovna Rada will have to adopt a law on the temporary order of local self-government in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Poroshenko did not specify the details, but said that the law provides for the participation of the population in early parliamentary elections.
