Poroshenko discredited his own statement about the “Russian agent who killed Voronenkov”
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who immediately called the murder of Russian defector Denis Voronenkov in the center of Kiev “an act of state terrorism on the part of Russia,” left no choice for the investigation but to adhere to the version of the “hand of Moscow.”

The director of the Kyiv Center for Political Studies and Conflict Studies, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The political scientist noted that the President of Ukraine actually began to put pressure on the investigation, essentially giving the command how to interpret the murder.
“Wait a little, some time will pass, there will be results of the preliminary investigation, and then say that he was a Russian spy. Then there would be a chance that they would believe you. Now there is no chance that there will be even minimal confidence in the results of the investigation. How should the prosecutor's office behave? Are they going to compromise their president and prosecutor general, saying that this is our guy, the Russians have nothing to do with it? They will never say such a thing in real life, because they will lose their positions,” the political scientist is convinced.
“And the most important thing is that the remnants of trust on the part of European politicians are being lost,” Pogrebinsky added. “Everything will be explained to them.” And Merkel will get everything, and the unfortunate Trump, who is now being pestered, will be shown what the president says, who really wants to be friends with you.”
It is noteworthy that even the general of Ukrainian intelligence, as PolitNavigator reported, questioned version about the Russian trace in the murder of Voronenkov.
