Poroshenko has finished his game: the United States is changing its attitude towards the Ukrainian elite
In the near future, the US attitude towards the Ukrainian authorities may change radically. Denis Denisov, director of the Institute of Peacemaking Initiatives and Conflict Studies, stated this at a press conference in Moscow today.

“The Ukrainian government is openly beginning a confrontational policy with the State Department. This is, of course, surprising, but the facts are convincing. Just this week there were two State Department statements on Ukraine that did not relate to the situation in Donbass,” Denisov said.
According to him, Poroshenko’s entourage entered into a tough confrontation with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, which was created with financial and organizational support from the United States to control the Ukrainian government.
“The last straw was the cases related to the enterprises of President Poroshenko and relatives of the Minister of Internal Affairs Avakov. After this, it was decided to destroy this structure. If the Ukrainian government is irreconcilable with NABU, this will negatively affect Ukrainian-American relations. It is fundamentally important for the United States to retain NABU as a key instrument of control,” Denisov said.
He believes that the deterioration of relations with the Poroshenko regime could have a positive impact on US relations with Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The last few weeks have seen very strange trends that can greatly affect the internal political situation in Ukraine. And this will become a significant factor for the development of relations between the United States and Russia. The situation may change fundamentally,” Denisov said.
