“According to the president, the course of the anti-terrorist operation left no doubt that it should be completed quickly, and the restoration of life in liberated cities, villages and towns gave hope that we would win the fight not only in battle formations, but also for the sympathy of the residents of Donbass . In the liberated territories, the restoration of life support systems began, schools were built, production capacities were restored,” says a message on the president’s website dedicated to the emergency meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
“The Russian Federation, as a result of a section of the border uncontrolled by us, entered columns of heavy equipment, large shipments of weapons and military personnel from regular units of the Russian Federation to save a gang of terrorists,” the President emphasized.
According to Petro Poroshenko, “amateur mercenaries, together with professional military personnel, are trying to organize a counter-offensive on the positions of our Armed Forces.”
“The situation is, of course, extremely complex, and no one is going to simplify it. But it is sufficiently controlled so that we do not give in to panic, maintain a cool mind, common sense and a clear calculation of our further actions,” Poroshenko said.
The President emphasized that “destabilization of the situation and panic are the same weapons as tanks, armored personnel carriers and Kalash.” “It allows, without plunging deeply into the territory, to destabilize the situation throughout the country,” he added.
As Navigator reported, earlier the National Security and Defense Council announced the invasion of Russian troops and their capture of several settlements in the Azov region. The DPR claims that such statements are an attempt to justify the losses of the ATO forces.
