“I raised my son so that he could make his own decisions. I didn't ask my parents when to get married or what university to study at. This is his responsibility,” he said, answering a question from a “1+1” journalist.
“He didn’t ask to volunteer for the army. He simply believed that he could not do otherwise. I was proud. But we didn’t tell his mother, my wife, about this. And only when your son is there, you begin to really feel what it means to defend the state and how important peace is,” Poroshenko said, not forgetting to emphasize that you approach war differently when your child is on the battlefield.
At the same time, he emphasized that his son “did not hide in the party list,” but went to the majoritarian district, “where there will be an honest and uncompromising struggle.”
“I would be happy if we abolished the majoritarian system. If there were no majoritarian system, I would not have included him on the list. There would be many questions. I am sure that he will be worthy of me,” Poroshenko said.
As PolitNavigator reported, the first to report that Alexey Poroshenko had gone to Donbass was Channel 5, which is associated with Petro Poroshenko himself.
