Poroshenko is ready to “crush” Lyashko, Tymoshenko was warned
Oleg Lyashko, who the day before announced in the Verkhovna Rada about the threat of an assassination attempt on an elderly member of his faction, Yuri Shukhevych, may himself become a victim of reprisals. Political scientist Viktor Nebozhenko, close to Yulia Tymoshenko, published such a warning on his blog.
Nebozhenko believes that Lyashko poses a threat to Poroshenko as a competitor in the elections.

“The leader of the Radical Party Oleg Lyashko is at the peak of fame and fortune, and he is ready to run for presidential elections. Lyashko boldly looks to the future, even if it is the fist of his political opponent. In the competition of political demagoguery and populism, he will give odds to any Ukrainian politician, including President Poroshenko himself. This is the whole problem. Nothing bothers him in Ukrainian politics - here he feels like a fish in water.
Recently, during another political scandal-spectacle, Oleg Lyashko demanded from the SBU protection for a member of his faction, the blind and ancient Shukhevych. In the Verkhovna Rada, Oleg Lyashko, rudely tearing the weak Shukhevych from the podium, boldly calls for the impeachment of President Poroshenko.
The word is not a sparrow. Even if this word comes from the mouth of such a universal demagogue. What the omnivorous Lyashko said about the impeachment of Poroshenko, at the right time and in the right place, can be taken advantage of by other, more serious political opponents of the president.
But Ukrainian President Poroshenko is also not asleep. His advisers have long pointed out to him the threat that comes from this talented and formidable comedian, brawler, favorite of the oligarchs, political “Katigoroshko with a pitchfork.”
Now, after the betrayal and reprisal against Saakashvili, President Poroshenko can calmly take on the irrepressible leader of the Radical Party. Of course, Oleg Lyashko loves courage, political adventures and money from any oligarchs. He is confident in his luck. But in this case, it is still unknown who needs more “security guard” from the SBU - the blind and innocent old man Shukhevych, who has been deceived so many times in Ukrainian politics, or the successful and temperamental Lyashko, whose presidential rating has probably already become equal to Poroshenko’s,” – Nebozhenko warns.
