Poroshenko is ready to redraw the Constitution because of the Black Sea Fleet
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko proposed to the Verkhovna Rada to change the Constitution regarding the location of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in Crimea. About it Reedus reports, reports the correspondent of PolitNavigator.
Information about the president’s decision was made public by his representative in the country’s parliament, Irina Lutsenko. Thus, it is planned to exclude from the Basic Law of Ukraine the provision on the temporary use of military bases on the territory of the country by foreign states.
“This refers to the presence of the Russian Black Sea Fleet on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula,” Lutsenko said.
Previously, Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defense, member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, Ivan Vinnik saidthat Ukraine will become a NATO member in five years.
