“Democracy is not being built in Ukraine. It already exists. You are simply protecting her,” the head of the Ukrainian state addressed the Americans, speaking at a meeting of the Chambers of the US Congress.
In addition, he stated: “Live free or die – that was the spirit of the Maidan.” In his opinion, even now Ukrainians will adhere to this principle.
On this note, the President of Ukraine ended his speech, after which he went down to the hall, where for several minutes he shook hands with congressmen, who greeted him standing and applauded him. At the same time, it was clear that not all seats in the hall were occupied.
As PolitNavigator reported, today in Washington Petro Poroshenko said that he is ready to give Donbass more rights than other regions, but will not discuss issues of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
