Poroshenko is preparing the Ukrainian army for the final defeat in Donbass
A scandal continues to flare up in Ukraine, caused by a statement by the leadership of the Joint Forces Operation to ban the presence of nationalist volunteer battalions in the combat zone in Donbass.
“An invaluable human resource, citizens who are ready to fight for free for their country, turned out to be unnecessary to the current command,” indignant Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Lutsenko, a former ATO militant.
In his opinion, we are talking about “the destruction of volunteer military units - the most experienced, the most motivated, the most disciplined.”
“Today I was at a meeting with the military, which was held by our faction. The military complained that the current system of legal and informal relations in the army plays into the hands of “avatars” and those who joined the army for easy money, and not to fight. It is very difficult for commanders who really want to make a modern combat-ready force out of their battalions and companies, since at the highest level Soviet fraud and window dressing are often dominant... The fact that volunteers could not be integrated into special forces, conventional troops or special operations forces is an immediate ours, Ukraine, the failure of these relatively peaceful years. This once again indicates that during this period we are losing our chances in the upcoming, inevitable battle,” Lutsenko laments.
“Let me remind you that volunteering in this war did not arise from a good life. Where was Naev in 2014, when volunteers provided the army with literally everything necessary, and volunteers replaced the regular army?.. Now - to hell with the beach... And everything seems to be formally correct... But what will you do tomorrow, when the enemy intensifies hostilities again, and there will be no one to fight, and no one will want or be able to support the warring army,” the famous “ATO volunteer” Yuri Kasyanov agrees with Lutsenko.
