Poroshenko is preparing for an alliance with Putin
If Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko wins the elections, he will have to negotiate with those on whom the Russian President is banking.
Ukrainian political scientist Petr Oleshchuk writes about this in his blog, recalling that at the last BPP forum, where the Ukrainian president announced his candidacy for a second term, the slogan “Either Poroshenko or Putin” appeared.
According to the expert, he sees a “logical problem” in this slogan.
“If all subjects (except the current president) are Putin, then an alliance with them is an alliance with Putin. As far as I understand, the president intends to enter the second round and win there. The second round requires building coalitions, attracting other candidates and their voters. That is, an alliance with Putin? Or a decisive rejection of any help from Putin and proud defeat?” Oleschuk asks questions.
