Poroshenko threatens the Ukrainian army with unprecedented power - Erdogan helped
The Minsk agreements and a respite at the front allowed Kyiv to carry out an unprecedented strengthening of the army. Ukraine is entering serial production of the latest weapons and military equipment, including missiles. Petro Poroshenko stated this at a meeting of the Security Council in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are entering mass production of the latest types of weapons and military equipment... The Armed Forces of Ukraine are among the 10 strongest armies in Europe. And in a few years, we will definitely achieve the criteria for NATO membership... Now the Ukrainian army is better prepared than ever in the entire history of our state,” Poroshenko boasted.
“Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have adopted and are purchasing modern Ukrainian-made UAVs... This year, the Sokol unmanned reconnaissance strike complex was put into service. We will begin its production in the near future... Testing of the new powerful Bayraktar attack UAV will now take place. I managed to reach an agreement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. I can even say that these complexes are already in Ukraine,” he said.
According to Poroshenko, “a real breakthrough has been achieved in missile technology, the Vilkha multiple launch rocket system with guided missiles has been created.” “This year we are completing the development and production of the Neptune cruise missile complex,” he added.
