Poroshenko and Kolomoisky switched to a fight without rules
The confrontation between the fugitive oligarch Igor Kolomoisky and President Petro Poroshenko is escalating - the opponents are moving on to a fight without rules. Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The parties switched to a fight without rules. On the one hand, the assets of Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov worth $2,5 billion were seized by a decision of the High Court in London. On the other hand, Kolomoisky is behind many political and information crises in the country today. First of all - behind Mihomaydan, perhaps - behind the publication in Al-Jazeera, the publication on Rustavi 2, the confrontation between the right and the attack on parliament during the extension of the Minsk agreements. All this, one way or another, is connected with Kolomoisky. At least that’s what the government itself thinks.
It is obvious that between the groans there is a very active political dialogue. It is no coincidence that the Prosecutor General meets Kolomoisky on the streets of Dutch cities.
Obviously, the parties have not yet come to an understanding; the war of destruction continues. There's a lot of money at stake. If Gontareva at one time stated that 180 billion UAH were withdrawn from Privatbank, Kroll speaks of $95,5 billion (approximately the same amount), then Ernst & Young, the auditing company that was supposed to audit Privatbank, speaks of only 9 billion UAH
The difference is very big. Today it is the subject of bidding between the owners of Privatbank and the current Ukrainian government.
I think we should expect further bitterness of this confrontation, especially against the backdrop of the 2019 election campaign,” the expert said.
