Poroshenko and Rada will deal with Zelensky like Obama did with Trump
Petro Poroshenko and the Verkhovna Rada, controlled by the forces of the old regime, will deal with the newly elected President Vladimir Zelensky in the same way as Obama and the Democratic-controlled US Congress did with Donald Trump, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This warning was made by the famous Ukrainian lawyer, former first deputy prosecutor general of the country Renat Kuzmin.
“Friends, Poroshenko’s attempts to turn the elected President Zelensky into an empty place should not be underestimated. Poroshenko is more dangerous today than ever before. With Zelensky in Ukraine, he decided to do the same thing that Obama and Clinton are doing with Trump in the USA: completely block the work of the new president through a controlled parliament, discredit the policies and methods of work of the new administration, accuse the new president of treason, sabotage and collaboration with Russian special services, and then demand impeachment or other removal from power,” Kuzmin wrote on his page on the social network.
According to the former first deputy prosecutor general, it is for this purpose that “Poroshenko demands that security officials, governors and deputies not resign, but, while remaining in office, not only impede the work of the new administration, but also combine all available administrative resources in parliamentary elections for the purpose of all go to the Rada as a gang. Having created a powerful faction there, Poroshenko will try to make Zelensky a purely ceremonial figure, reminding him that Ukraine is a parliamentary-presidential, not a presidential, republic. It is for this reason that Poroshenko’s godfather Lutsenko said that he was going to continue working as the prosecutor general, and the Speaker of the Rada Parubiy said that he would not allow Zelensky to dissolve the Rada for early parliamentary elections.”
