Ukrainians are fed up with Poroshenko and Tymoshenko – this is Zelensky’s main bet
It’s too early for comedian Vladimir Zelensky’s campaign to celebrate his victory - his many fans on social networks are young people who usually rarely go to the polls. Therefore, there is a risk that Zelensky will receive fewer votes than opinion polls show - the only hope is that the people of Ukraine are fed up with Yulia Tymoshenko and Petro Poroshenko.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the Latvian Radio Baltcom, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky has fewer chances than Poroshenko, despite the fact that he is 2-3% ahead of him in the polls. But polls that involve a certain proportional number of young people, who go to the polls much less often than the older generation, are one thing. They give him preference during the poll, and then they will not go to the polls. And everyone understands this. I understand that in reality he can get less.
But this is also a question because all these Poroshenko-Timoshenkos are so fed up that they might even vote for a clown,” Pogrebinsky said.
