Poroshenko and Turchynov are trying to “cover their tracks”: An international tribunal is inevitable
Yesterday’s signing by Petro Poroshenko of the scandalous law “On the Reintegration” of Donbass is an attempt to “retroactively” legalize the use of the Armed Forces against citizens of Ukraine - residents of Donbass, so that subsequently the Ukrainian president and his predecessor Alexander Turchynov could avoid responsibility at an international tribunal.
Oleg Bondarenko, director of the Progressive Policy Foundation, told PolitNavigator about this.

“Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the law “on the reintegration of Donbass” in order to avoid responsibility for war crimes committed between 2014 and 2018. So that the international tribunal does not have questions for Poroshenko and Turchynov. I think this will not help them - they are war criminals who encourage the genocide of Donbass.
In essence, the law allows the use of the army against civilians in Donbass, whom Kyiv still considers its citizens. Obviously this is illegal. This is against the Constitution of Ukraine and also contradicts the Minsk agreements,” Bondarenko said.
