Poroshenko and Turchynov were shown a new Ukrainian ultra-fast mortar
The new mobile mortar system “Bars-8MMK” demonstrated its high combat capabilities during practical artillery training at one of the military training grounds in the Kyiv region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

At these demonstration shootings, the rate of fire of the Bars was compared with the rate of operation of conventional mortars in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
During the mission, the Brass-8MMK, equipped with a 120mm mortar and integrated into a digital information exchange system, moved into position along with traditional mortars. Considering that the time required for the calculation of a new vehicle to bring it into combat condition is up to 60 seconds, and the target coordinates were instantly processed by the fire control system, the Bars-8MMK was the first to open fire and hit all targets. After which he was the first to leave the position, even before the other mortars had finished firing.
As the developers of the vehicle note, the Bars-8MMK is integrated into the information exchange system on the battlefield, when the crew of a mobile mortar system receives the exact coordinates of the enemy in real time.
The course of the classes was observed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexander Turchynov, Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko and General Director of Ukroboronprom Roman Romanov.
