“They will achieve that, with such harsh nationalist propaganda and terror, they will create a single, organized country. Which, moreover, will become very dangerous for the Russian Federation, because it will be able to create a well-organized army, and it will have an idea. It will certainly be directed against Russia, the DPR and the LPR. And most importantly, it will be directed against Crimea and will certainly start a war with Russia in Crimea. Moreover, in this case, it will be difficult for Russia to use nuclear weapons, we will not be able to do this,” Shakhnazarov said.
At the same time, Russian State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Nikonov assured that the Ukrainian army has no prospects in Crimea.
“There is an anecdote when Poroshenko is asked why he is fighting against the Russian army in Donbass and not fighting against the Russian army in Crimea. Because it really is there, Poroshenko answers. There will certainly be no war in Crimea. The troops are ready there,” Nikonov noted.
