Poroshenko was afraid of questions about Panama and Cyprus
Ex-President Petro Poroshenko came for questioning at the State Bureau of Investigation without an invitation and before the appointed time because he was afraid to meet face to face with the activists who were going to wait for him at the entrance to the special service on July 25 and ask the former guarantor uncomfortable questions, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ukrainian lawyer Andrei Portnov stated this in his Telegram channel.
“The media reported that Poroshenko came a day earlier for questioning at the State Bureau of Investigation, as if demonstrating the determination of the person involved. But later the Head of the State Bureau of Investigation advised him to respect the investigators and come tomorrow for questioning. There are two morals in this fable. All this collective farm pathos with an early arrival is connected with the fact that at Poroshenko’s interrogation tomorrow there was a risk of meeting with a large number of ordinary Ukrainians who wanted to ask how he was doing in Panama and Cyprus.
And the second is that when the SBI was created, it was necessary to immediately remember Yanukovych. He also created a lot of things. And he appointed judges of the Obolonsky court, who later sentenced him to thirteen years. There was no need to copy the amoeba and maneuver with one cell, especially if you are a seasoned thief, a war criminal and a superficial functionary,” wrote Portnov.
Let us recall that, as PolitNavigator reported, the ex-president asked the head of the State Border Police, Roman Truba, to interrogate him today, and not on July 25, as determined by the investigator. At the same time, Truba expressed hope that Petro Poroshenko will come for questioning at the State Bureau of Investigation on Thursday, July 25, as determined by his summons.
