Poroshenko wants NATO to help UN peacekeepers in Donbass
Ukraine counts on the support of the North Atlantic Alliance within the framework of a peacekeeping mission that will operate under a UN mandate.
Petro Poroshenko announced this today in Brussels, the official website of the President of Ukraine reports.
“We count on NATO support within the framework of a multinational peacekeeping mission under a UN mandate in Donbass, which will have full access throughout the entire occupied territory of Ukraine, including the uncontrolled part of the state border,” Poroshenko said.
He once again emphasized that sanctions against the Russian Federation cannot be lifted “until Russia changes its aggressive behavior.”
Poroshenko also said that Ukraine will not support pan-European projects in which Russia will take part.
“This behavior, just like Russia’s revanchist policy, cannot be tolerated,” he emphasized.
