Poroshenko wants to recognize the SBI, which he himself created, as illegal
Ex-President Petro Poroshenko began collecting signatures among deputies under submission to the Constitutional Courtto declare the law on the State Bureau of Investigation unconstitutional, arguing that the president, according to the Constitution, does not have the authority to appoint the head of the State Bureau of Investigation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Commenting on this presentation, Ukrainian lawyer and initiator of the criminal prosecution of Poroshenko, Andrei Portnov, drew attention to the fact that the SBI was created through the efforts of Poroshenko himself and, during his presidency, was presented as an achievement of the previous government and one of the important reforms. Poroshenko also personally appointed by his decree the head of the SBI, Roman Truba, in whom he declared distrust during the last interrogation at the SBI.
“When I said for five years that he was very stupid, you replied that there could be no stupid people in such a position. I'm demonstrating. The uniqueness of this primitive idea is that it was the BPP deputies who co-authored this law, 92 deputies of his faction voted for it, and Poroshenko himself forgot to veto it, signed it and praised it at press conferences. He was not worried about the unconstitutionality of the law at a time when he was the guarantor of the Constitution. The person involved felt concern when he began going there for interrogations,” Portnov wrote in his Telegram channel.
“You have to be so stupid not to predict what exactly will happen to you by signing this law and having your faction vote for it. And that in order to collect the required 45 signatures for appealing to the Constitutional Court, you only have 25 and you need to take on the case another faction of Vakarchuk, who is under his control, who has 20 more,” Portnov added.
According to him, if Poroshenko thought that the collection of signatures of deputies for a submission to the Constitutional Court would go unnoticed, then he was “stupid,” and if he expected that the Constitutional Court would make a decision on this before the verdict, then he was “very stupid.”
“Therefore, friends, we change the task. From assigning a criminal agenda to the person involved and a course towards increasing toxicity, we add further propaganda of stupidity. In simple words, from two in one to three in one,” Portnov summed up.
