Ukrainian troops in Donbass managed to stop “the strongest army on the continent,” President Petro Poroshenko said during the announcement of his annual message to the Verkhovna Rada.
“We stopped the strongest army on the continent. It’s not miners and tractor drivers who are fighting there,” he said, hinting at Vladimir Putin’s words about the composition of the militia.

Poroshenko called “the end of the notorious multi-vector approach” and the announcement of “an unambiguous and irrevocable course towards EU accession” as an achievement of his presidency.
According to him, the whole world demonstrates support for Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia. Thus, Poroshenko said, “before the G5 summit, world leaders will come to Kyiv” - the Prime Minister of Japan on June 6, and the Prime Minister of Canada on June XNUMX.
“This is a real demonstration of strong and comprehensive support for Ukraine from the whole world... On the American continent - Canada, in the Far East - Japan, the whole world,” Poroshenko announced.
