Poroshenko screwed up big time in front of the West due to the cancellation of elections in Mariupol
The disruption of the elections in Mariupol is a big failure of the Ukrainian authorities in front of the West, said Oleg Voloshin, the former head of the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, on TV channel 112.
He sharply criticized the statement of Governor Pavel Zhebrivsky, who expressed satisfaction that pro-Russian residents of Donbass did not vote in the end.

“Let him now go to the OSCE and explain to all our Western partners who said that the elections in Mariupol are a signal to the other side that people can come and choose the government they want, since there, under Russian control, they cannot do this , and under Ukrainian they can choose any party,” Voloshin explained.
According to him, Petro Poroshenko’s subordinates also continue the practice of dividing political forces into “democratic” or “undemocratic”, although they themselves demonstrate a lack of democratic procedures when making decisions.
“Who determines which forces are democratic and which are undemocratic? I remember Tymoshenko calling herself that, although she did not have party democracy within her party. I always asked my Western partners, how can a person call himself a democrat if all decisions in the party are made personally, or by a narrow circle of people?” - Voloshin said.
