“Ukraine will never agree with the occupation of Crimea and will never give up one of the indigenous peoples of our common Fatherland to be torn to pieces. We will fight for the rights of the Crimean Tatar people, their national and political freedoms. Crimea is not a military base, not “the pride of Russian sailors,” but an integral part of Ukraine - it is a unique region, a pearl of world civilization, the cradle of the Crimean Tatars; this is his legal, world-recognized homeland,” Poroshenko said.

“I express my deep respect to those Crimean Tatars who, even today, have not submitted to the aggressor and are fighting for our common home, for our common European future. I am convinced that together we will definitely win. All exiles will return to their native land, figuratively speaking, through the airport of twice Hero of the Soviet Union Akhmet Khan Sultan. Our flags flutter and will flutter together: blue and yellow Ukrainian and blue, with a golden tamga, Crimean Tatar,” the head of state promised.
