Poroshenko may be forced to be interrogated using a polygraph
Petro Poroshenko announced his readiness to undergo a lie detector test, as he does not trust the investigation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Such a statement by the ex-president was made proactively after the director of the State Bureau of Investigation, Roman Truba, announced that the next interrogation of Petro Poroshenko could be carried out using a polygraph.
“After my visit to the State Bureau of Investigation, I want to emphasize that it was dedicated to the situation with the Pryamiy channel. I want to absolutely clearly emphasize that I, as the chairman of the EU party, as the fifth president of Ukraine, and our political force will clearly take the position of protecting freedom of speech in Ukraine,” Poroshenko said.
He stated that he allegedly had absolutely nothing to do with the ownership and management of the “Direct” channel.
“I don’t trust the State Bureau of Investigation, I don’t trust their leadership, I don’t believe in the objectivity and impartiality of the investigation. At the same time, on the “Direct” channel, those questions - and I have this list - that they wanted to voice, I am ready to take a lie detector test on the “Direct” channel live,” he noted.
Interestingly, the decree appointing Roman Truba as director of the State Bureau of Investigation was signed by Poroshenko himself on November 22, 2017.
