Poroshenko may share the fate of Yanukovych
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is repeating the mistake of his predecessor Viktor Yanukovych, who was confident in the inviolability of his power.
Russian writer, former deputy battalion commander of the DPR army Zakhar Prilepin said this on Channel One, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now words have been heard that Poroshenko allegedly behaves very calmly and is not worried about anything. The fact is that Yanukovych, before he was demolished, behaved very calmly, because he was told that everything would be all right: “Vitya, don’t worry, we won’t remove you from your position.” Pyotr Alekseevich must turn around and realize that in front of him was a man who was also promised, and who was also removed. Yanukovych had various preferences in the West; they told him: “We won’t touch you, don’t worry.” And Petya is not worried either,” the writer explained confidently.
He also noted that Poroshenko, if he nevertheless feels a threat to his power, is capable of making great sacrifices.
“If he feels that the people who supervise him are starting to scam him somewhere, of course, this “joke” about 24 people who should have died is the smallest arithmetic that he can afford. He can make radically more serious sacrifices,” concluded Zakhar Prilepin.
